Types of hierarchies

Ken Wilber makes an interesting distinction between types of hierarchies:

• Growth hierarchies are means of growth. They transcend and include, e.g., particles, atoms, molecules, cells, organisms, ...
• Dominator hierarchies are means of oppression.
